What exactly is Sugarplastic?

The name says it all! By Sugarplastic, we mean disposable plastic bottles typically filled with sugary drinks that leave us addicted and craving more.

Is there palm oil in waterdrop® products?

While some companies earn their sugar-free badge by using palm oil as an alternative, we believe in the natural taste of fruit and plant extracts, enhanced only with a touch of sweetener.

What kind of plastic do you use?

Our blisters are made of polypropylene (PP). Having weighed our options, we decided that PP is the most environmentally conscious option as it is the easiest to recycle, doesn't release toxins, has a relatively low carbon footprint and is safe for human health.

Are waterdrop® blisters recyclable?

100% yes! In Australia we have a partnership with TerraCycle so you can recycle them directly, you can simply save up your blisters then <a href="https://www.terracycle.com/en-AU/brigades/waterdrop-free-recycling-program" target="_blank" title="https://www.terracycle.com/en-AU/brigades/waterdrop-free-recycling-program">register here</a> to send them for free for recycling. In Europe you can take them into your nearest waterdrop store to recycle them.

Where can we recycle waterdrop® blisters?

Our blisters can be recycled in Australia in partnership with TerraCycle, simply setup a <a href="https://www.terracycle.com/en-AU/brigades/waterdrop-free-recycling-program" target="_blank" title="https://www.terracycle.com/en-AU/brigades/waterdrop-free-recycling-program">free account here</a> and you can download a postage label to return them for recycling. We appreciate our community's efforts to save them and send them in for recycling. waterdrop retail Kiosks or Pop ups can also be given your empty blister pods.

Why are you using plastic for blisters?

We've tried our best to be plastic-free but this is unfortunately not possible at the moment as the taste and integrity of our products comes first. Having said that, we are constantly working on experimenting with new solutions and hope to be plastic free soon.

Why do your cubes have to be individually packed?

As our Microdrinks are free from preservatives, each waterdrop® is carefully sealed with a wafer-thin layer to protect the natural fruit and plant extracts within. This helps us guarantee the integrity and freshness of our product.
